This poster is an invitation to an event marking Public Transport Day which took place on Thursday, September 17, 1959 at 8:30 p.m. in an amphitheatre in Tel Aviv as part of the city’s fiftieth anniversary celebrations. The minister of transport, Moshe Carmel, was in attendance, and the Nachal Band performed. The poster depicts a hot air balloon to which different modes of transport are tied: airplane, bicycle, ship, train, bus, and car. All of these are floating above an outline of the buildings of Tel Aviv.
