A map of the North of Israel printed in Germany in 1907. The map shows the coastal area between Caesarea and Haifa.
The village “Zummarin (Zichron Jacob)” appears on the line marked with the number 17 with symbols of roads and houses. Surrounding Zummarin are names of other villages, a small wood, an aqueduct, rivers (mostly dry), and the Mediterranean Sea.
The map was created only 25 years after Zichron Ya’akov was established, which is probably why the village is still referred to by its previous name, Zummarin.
