The collection comprises the most extensive literature on Jewish Studies in the Federal Republic of Germany and is among the most important worldwide collections of its kind. Scientific publications in different languages on religious and intellectual history, Jewish literary and cultural history, economic history of the Jews, Jewish law, anti-Semitism and migration are available as well as information on geography and politics of the state of Israel or the Mideast conflict. Furthermore, it offers a large stock of fiction in the original language Hebrew and in translation. The collection now comprises more than 250.000 volumes.
