This was a monthly journal of a religious nature published by the Ahmadiyya community based in Haifa. The journal focuses on religious and ethical sermons with selected passages from the Quran and other Islamic sources. The messianic question is very present in its content and message as is the sharp dispute between the Ahmadi and Bahai communities. Until at least 1948 the journal’s editorial board voiced its opposition to the Partition Plan and viewed it as a historic injustice against the resident Arab population. Following the events of 1948, the journal became a stage for political subjects that it had not addressed at all previously, such as debates about communist, social-democratic and other political alternatives.
