Did you know?

“The Parade That Didn’t March” is what the headlines of the Maariv wrote the day after the first Yom Ha'atzmaut. Why? Because there were too many people and things were so disorganized that no one could march. Don't worry! A month later they held a smaller more organized parade. And slowly but surely, year after year, Israel’s Independence Day has developed into the national celebration we know today.
