Hebrew Book Week

Hebrew Book Week
For decades, Hebrew Book Week has been a festive occasion for the Hebrew reading public. Reading is a pleasure that many of us embrace every day of our lives, from childhood on. Nothing can compare with the sense of discovery, enlightenment even, that we experience when we read. Reading expands our worlds beyond recognition, as we encounter continents, periods, plots, characters, sights and landscapes, peoples, cultures and more. All these are brought to our doorsteps by the books that play such an important role in our lives.

On the occasion of Hebrew Book Week 2013, we bring you two songs about the wonder of reading.

The songs presented here come from the National Library's extensive collection of songs, prayers and other musical works. The songs are preserved and made available via the website with the assistance of the Legacy Heritage Fund.
