July-August 2014

The July-August 2014 issue is dedicated to the work done at the National Library in the area of conservation and restauration. Our focus this time is on a unique professional field. Conservation and restauration involved specialized technical know-how, a love for the job and endless patience, as well as constant learning and the ability to improvise, international cooperation and constantly specializing in areas related to ancient traditions and to unique techniques and materials which are typical of books, manuscripts and items from different cultures.
