Nissim Calderon

Nissim Calderon is a professor of Hebrew literature at Ben Gurion University where he specializes in contemporary Hebrew literature, Israeli multiculturalism, and the connection between Hebrew poetry and popular music. He received his Ph.D. from Tel Aviv University in 1980.
 
He is an active participant in many cultural activities and regularly publishes essays and book reviews. He has, in addition, authored numerous books, receiving the Bahat Prize for Multiculturalism versus Pluralism in Israel (2000).
 
He is presently working on a biography of Meir Ariel.
