Haim Sabato

Haim Sabato is a Torah scholar, educator and author. He is the co-founder and a teacher at Yeshivat Birkat Moshe in Maale Adumim.
 
He is the author of many books and the recipient of the Sapir Prize (2000) for Adjusting Sights, an account of his experiences in the Yom Kippur War which earned him wide acclaim for the unique mixture of rabbinic Hebrew and an Agnon-like narrative style. He has won many other honors including the Prime Minister’s Prize for Hebrew Authors (2009) and an honorary doctorate from Bar-Ilan University (2012). He is a member of The Academy of the Hebrew Language. His novels have been translated into several languages. He has in addition published numerous scholarly religious writings.
