Doron Weber

Doron Weber is vice-president of programs at the Alfred P. Sloan Foundation where he runs the program for the Public Understanding of Science and Technology and the program to promote Universal Access to Knowledge through the Digital Information Technology. He has launched national programs in theatre, film and television to produce new work bridging the gap between science and the humanities. In addition, he serves as vice chair of the steering committee of the Digital Public Library of America and is on the advisory board of the Science and Entertainment Exchange.
The recipient of various prizes and awards, his recent memoir Immortal Bird: A Family Memoir (2012) was published to critical acclaim, chosen by The Washington Post as one of the best books of 2012.
