Digitization of Cyrillic Language Catalogues
NliParagraph1
The first phase of the project included the digitization of the monographic card catalogues, while the second phase dealt with the digitization of the Cyrillic periodicals card catalogue. Currently, all the information regarding materials in the Cyrillic languages found in the Library is accessible via the Library website.

Alongside the materials in the field of Jewish Studies, which are the heart of the National Library's collections, these catalogues include canonical Russian literature important to readers of the Russian language. This project presented the staff with the opportunity to update the hundred year-old process by which these card catalogues have been organized, and in doing so, many items in the original catalogue were checked, verified, and corrected.
It should be noted that several of the card catalogues were written at the beginning of the 20th century, and as such are themselves worthy of preservation at the National Library.
