The first volume of the inter-university journal “Dor Ledor”- Studies and Documentation in the History of Jewish Education in Israel and the Diaspora – was published in 1982. The journal is published by the Schools, the Faculty and the Education Department at all Israeli universities and the Archives of Jewish Education in Israel and the Diaspora in Memory of Aviezer Yellin at Tel Aviv University. The members of the Editorial Committee are specialists in research dealing with issues in the history of Jewish education from the perspective of various scientific disciplines: historical, philosophical, sociological and others. These professors represent the following academic institutions: Rachel Elboim-Dror (The Hebrew University of Jerusalem); Yaacov Iram (Bar-Ilan University); Hanan Alexander (and in the past – Adir Cohen; Haifa University); Tamar Horowitz (formerly the late Walter Ackerman; Ben-Gurion University of the Negev); Sara Guri-Rosenblit (The Open University of Israel) – and the Editor, throughout the years from Tel Aviv University where the editing work is concentrated within the framework of the School of Education (and the Constantiner Chair for Jewish Education), Yuval Dror (formerly the late Shimon Reshef, the founder of Dor Ledor, and Arieh Lewy). “Dor Ledor” is published in the format of a series of annual or biennial volumes, as well as special issues and monographies that are printed from time to time. Dor Ledor is a peer reviewed journal that is published in Hebrew and in English.
