Text on the back -Post Card Printed in England (For address only) Presented by the Jewish Hospitality Committee for British and Allied Forces, London.;Production period - 1944 - 1949;Category - Jewish sacred objects;Description - A vertical format depicting an arched gate with two Shofarim (ram's horns) at it's upper corners. Through the gate we can see a large lamp radiating with light placed in front of a slightly opened Parochet (a curtain dividing between the inner case of the Ark and the public space in front of it). Three Torah Scrolls are seen through the opening. Above the lamp is a medallion with a scroll on which the initials of the Jewish Hospitality Committee (JHC) are written. There are two written greetings for the New Year, in English and in Hebrew. [M. J.]
