It focuses on two boys who read a page of the Talmud with an old men. They are in the middle of reciting the text. The two boys are sitting at a wood table, one next to the other and their teacher is sitting on the other side, so that he must read the text upside down. He points to the text with a yad (literally 'hand', it is a Jewish ritual pointer used to keep the sacred texts up). The three wear the traditional Kippah (skullcap). It was difficult in Yemen to acquire volumes of Talmud.
