VERLAG HATCHIJAH;Production period - 1st quarter of 20th century;Category - Portraits;Description - A vertical postcard of the portrait of Judah Leib Gordon (1830-1892).Gordon wasborn inWilna and was a Hebrewpoet, one of the prominent writers of theEnlightment Era. He also wrote philitones, researcharticles, criticsand translated fables and stories. The photo of the author appears on the middle top in eliptic grey background. It is surrounded by white roses and stalks of grain. On the left bottom are two books and on top of themare an inkwell and afeather andstringed instrument.
