Black and white reproduction of a painting of soldiers outside in a circle around a naturally-formed, raised bimah (altar). Three men stand on the altar around an open Torah scroll. In the bottom left corner are two men in distinctly different dress, one wearing a top hat and one holding a rifle in apparent discussion with two women and two children (see research details for reference to painting's date and subject).
