The couple: a man in a black suit and hat with a grey beard, and a woman in a blue dress with a white collar and gathered hair sit near a table covered by a green table-cloth. They seem motionless, bear no expression and their hands are hidden. To the right, in a red arm chair, sits a smaller man with a white beard, who also wears a black suit and a yarmulke. He is gesturing with his hands and seems to be explaining something to the couple. With his hand he holds an open book and two closed books lie on the table. In the background is a furnished room with a large bookcase, chest of draws and a clock. At the bottom of the postcard appears a whimsical dialog in Yiddish. At the bottom right part, near the table appears the signature J. Keller. [A. R.]
