The architectural design is based on Byzantine elements and dominated by a massisve Byzantine dome. The congregation was established in 1862 and is a Reform congregation. Their first temple was dedicated in 1873. The current building is their third temple and was dedicated in 1929. In 1933 it was named Wilshire Boulevard Temple according to its location. This temple is still in use. In 1984 it joined the U.S.A register of Historic Places. [E.B];Back Description - A divided back.
