K.;Category - Religious life;Description - A vertical format depicting a group of men gathering around the cantor in the synagogue and singing. The cantor, who is wearing a Tallit (a prayer shawl) and a white cap on his head, is standing in front of a Shiviti board with four candles, raising his hands and leading the singing of the 'Unetanneh Tokef' Piyyut, sung on Rosh Hashanah and Yom Kippur evening prayer. The inscription below is derived out of the 'Unetanneh Tokef' piyyut. The Shiviti board is juxtaposed to the Aron Hakodesh (the Ark), which is decorated with a serrated edge, Luchot Habrit (the Tables of the Law), Ionic columns and a Parochet with an ornemanted inscription 'בראש השנה יתבון וביום צום כ[יפורים] יחתמון' derived out of the 'Unetanneh Tokef' piyyut.
