Production period - ca. 1910;Front Period - ca. 1910;Category - uncataloged;Description - This horizonthal postcard depicts a drawing of prayers at the Western wall in Jerusalem. The Western Wall is shown on the right with a small courtyard in front of it. Both men and women are seen leaning on the wall, some of them holding books. Interestingly, one of the men stands with his back to the wall, which is now unaccepted by religious Jews. Some of the people sit and stand along the walls surrounding the courtyard. All the man in the drawing are bearded and dressed in traditional Eastern European Jewish costumes with long coats and fur hats (shtreimels). The women wear long skirts and wrap themselves in shawls. At the top of the postcard apear the words לשנה טובה A happy New Year. At the bottom appear the words תפלת ישראל אצל כותל מערבי ירושלים
