The boat is a sailboat, probably a fishermen boat. The point of view is from Jaffa to the sea. Jeffa: is an ancient port city located south of Tel Aviv. Jaffa (or Yafo) is one of the most ancient port cities in the world. Some claim that Jaffa was named after Japheth, one of the three sons of Noah. The Hellenist tradition links the name to 'Iopeia', which is Cassiopeia, the mother of Andromeda. Archaeological evidence shows that it was the site of permanent settlement some 7,500 years before the Christian era. Until the mid-19th century, Jaffa's orange groves were mainly owned by Arabs, who employed traditional methods of farming.
