Two of them are standing in the middle, two others are sitting lower and the last three are sitting on the ground forming thus a pyramidal composition. They have a modest 'meal' together: there are two saucepans lying on the ground and a glass bottle. The beggars are poorly dressed with torn clothes and wear hats. They look melancholy and tired.
