Jews of Baghdad - Baghdad was the largest Jewish community in Iraq. The Jews of Iraq maintained their Jewish practice of studying the Bible and learning Hebrew, while integrating fully into Muslim society. Despite their centuries-long integration, after the establishment of the State of Israel, the Jews were forced to leave Iraq and many thousands immigrated to Israel.
