How to reach the Archives
By bus
Public Transportation: Egged Bus No. 68
Bus route: Givat Ram, Kfar Hi-tech (last bus stop)
Bus no. 68 runs from the Hebrew University at Mount Scopus to the Edmond J. Safra Campus of the Hebrew University on Givat Ram, where we are located. It has a stop at the Central Bus Station (on the same side as the station), but can be boarded at any bus stop on that route (for route info contact Egged transportation service at *2800).
At the last stop on the line (in the parking lot), at the right of the bus stop, there is a path between buildings 2/2 and 2/3 and stairs that go down to our building. The entrance is on the right hand side of the building.
By car
Entry by car directly to the Archives is possible for holders of permits from the University or upon receipt of a temporary permit from the Archives. To receive a temporary permit, please call or send us an e-mail request in advance of your visit.
Once you enter via the main entrance to the Edmond J. Safra Campus of the Hebrew University on Givat Ram and pass the security check point, continue on Balfour Road until you reach Rakach Street, a narrow road on your right. Turn right on Rakach Street and continue until you come to a large parking lot on your right [the last stop on the bus line].
Park your car. At the right of the bus stop, there is a path between buildings 2/2 and 2/3 and stairs. The building at the very bottom of the stairs is the Archives’. The entrance is on the right hand side of the building.
However, there is the option of parking at the main entrance of the University and continuing to the Archives by boarding bus no. 68 or 69 at the security gate on the right of the main parking lot.
Opening hours
The Archives are open Sundays through Thursday from 08:15-15:15
