Registered Users Enjoy a Variety of Services

Most of the information and services available on the National Library of Israel website can be accessed without registering. Still, registered users receive access to additional services, for no additional charge.

Viewing items in the Library building: following registration, you may order items for viewing in the reading rooms (this can be done ahead of your visit as well).

 

Access to Research Databases – Registered users can receive access to the following databases:

The Israeli JSTOR database - Online access to articles in Hebrew from a variety of academic journals.

The Index to Hebrew Periodicals - You may search for and receive information about articles on different subjects, in Hebrew and Arabic. Some may be accessible online.

The Henrietta Szold Institute – You may search for and receive information about studies and publications dealing with education and social sciences. Some may be accessible online.

 

Your Personal Zone – You can save queries, information about items from the collections, as well as your search history.

 

In addition, you must register on the Library website to access our Document Delivery service and to take borrowed books home, as well as to view materials from the Rare Items Collection and the Archives Department.

 

Confirming Your Registration:

When registering, it is important that you submit an active email address.

After filling in your initial identification details, an email will be sent to the address you submitted. Please follow the instructions detailed in the email.

Your account will only be activated after you have confirmed your email address.
