In honor of the 11th of Adar- the day of the fall of Tel Hai- we present two musical interpretations of Abba Hushi's telling of the heroic story of Joseph Trumpeldor who fell during the Battle for Tel Hai on the 11th of Adar 5680 (1.2.1920)-a Ukranian folk-tune, dramatically performed by the opera baritone and cantor, Paulo (Pinchas) Gurin accompanied by a symphony orchestra and choir, and an intimate and harmonic version by the Sarid trio. For parents among you, we have attached the notes and lyrics to the song, so it can be performed. According to the performance instructions in the publication "In Honor of Tel Hai Day: A Workbook for Kindergarten and 1st and 2nd Grade Teachers": "We recommend that this song, as a folksong, should be included in the program performed by the parents. It is too hard for kindergarten children."
