Order scans and print-outs from other libraries

The National Library allows you to receive high-quality copies and scans from the Library collections. A scan or print-out of the various items such as: manuscripts, archives, maps, journals, books, photographs and more can be ordered.

 

Additionally, the service allows books and scans to be ordered from other libraries in Israel and abroad.

Provision of the scan or print-out will only be possible after clarification of the state of copyright and terms of use of the items.

The service is by payment.

Is it possible to order a scan of any item which exists in another library?

Provision of the scan or print-out will only be possible after clarification of the state of copyright and terms of use of the items.
Each order refers to one item.

What is an item?

An item is a book or part of a book, article from a journal, page from a newspaper, roll of microfilm, photograph, document from the archive, map etc. as appears in the library catalog.
When applying you must state the precise system number of the item in the order form as it appears in the catalog of the library the item belongs to.
The processing fees will be paid for each bibliographical item separately.

How much does the service cost?

The service is at a cost in accordance with the document delivery service price list. .
Please note, the final cost will be determined after a precise calculation of the number of pages requested and the customer confirms the order. The work will be carried out after the payment is actually made.

How do I order?

1) Register on the library website
2) Locate the item:
Libraries in Israel: Locate the requested system number through the ULI Catalog
Libraries abroad: Locate the number of the desired item (OCLC number) through the WorldCat Catalog
3) Fill out the online order form:

How will I know if the order was received?

When you finish filling out the form a notice will appear confirming that the form was sent successfully.
When the form is received, your request will be transferred to and processed by the document delivery team in the library who will contact you to continue processing your application.

How long will it take to process the order?

When ordering from libraries abroad, an estimate of the arrival time will be provided for each order individually.

How do I pay?

After the order is confirmed you will be sent a link for online secure payment by credit card or PayPal account. Additionally, you can pay in cash, by credit card or check in the financial department, which is located on floor -1, room 22, on Sunday – Thursday between 9:00 am and 3:00 pm.
