How can I search for newspapers in Arabic?

The Library has a vast collection of Arabic press, dating from the early 20th century. The Main Catalogue can be searched in Arabic, by keywords, newspaper title, and publishing year and date.

Can I browse all of the historical newspapers published in this region?

The Library has a vast collection of historical press dating from the period that precedes the established of the State of Israel. You may search the historical press database here.

Not all the newspapers from this period have been collected or purchased by the Library, therefore you may find it useful to search other collections in this field, such as the collection at the Moshe Dayan Center at Tel-Aviv University.

Also available is the collection at The Peace Library at Givat Haviva.
