Boys Town Jerusalem - Boys Town Jerusalem was established in 1948 to provide an education and also a home for young immigrants to the new State of Israel. The school was originally intended for the many child Holocaust survivors, war refugees, and poor immigrants. It catered for boys aged twelve to twenty, providing both religious, secular, technological, and vocational education and training. It was founded by Alexander S. Linchner, a Brooklyn-born rabbi who devoted his life to creating a school for children of immigrants after the Holocaust and providing them with an education that would allow them to play key roles in building the State of Israel.
